Letter From Recruitment Chair
I hope that you are all getting excited for this fall’s recruitment, because we definitely are! I cannot believe it was only two years ago that I was in your shoes. I remember being worried about leaving behind my friends and family to start this new adventure. The first couple of weeks were hard until I went through recruitment and found my home here in Phi Mu. I know that for some of you this new change will be welcomed, but for others it may be a little bit harder. Although knowing your major and being involved on campus is important, I have found that who you surround yourself with is the most rewarding thing that has impacted my college experience.
Since joining Phi Mu, I have been encouraged, supported, and poured into in more ways than I can count. These girls have become my sisters. I know that sounds cliché but calling them anything else would not give you the real picture of what I have found. I have gotten to share every aspect of college with these girls from studying for hard classes, going to awesome formals, participating in Bible studies, doing Step Sing together, and so much more. I would say my favorite part of Phi Mu is the desire the girls around me have to serve each other and show the love of Christ to one another. I think this is because of the Biblical foundation that our organization has, and I will forever be grateful for that.
Enough about us though, we are so excited to meet and get to know you this fall. Enjoy this time and take in every second of it. Know that we are thinking of and praying for each one of you and we cannot wait to help you find your home here at Samford, and maybe even in Phi Mu!
Thinking the best for you,
