Letter From Recruitment Chair

Hey ladies!

First, congratulations on your decision to become a Samford Bulldog! Secondly, I hope that you are getting excited for recruitment at Samford this fall, because we cannot wait for you to be here! It was only two years ago that I was in your shoes worrying about leaving behind everything I knew and loved for a new adventure, but also eager to start a new chapter of my life on my own. Once I came to Samford, the first couple of weeks were a whirlwind with connections weekend, new classes and teachers, getting to know my roommate, and just trying to find where I belonged on campus. Then, after going through recruitment, I found my home here in Phi Mu.

Since joining Phi Mu, I have been encouraged, supported, and poured into in more ways than you can imagine. These girls have truly transformed my life for the better and given me a solid foundation to grow on for my life after college. Phi Mu has taught me to love harder, serve better, and push forward no matter the circumstance. I have gotten to share every aspect of college with these girls from studying to all hours of the night, attending fancy formals, growing in Bible studies, dancing and singing together in Step Sing, and so much more. I would say my favorite part of Phi Mu is the desire of these women to serve each other and show the love of Christ to anyone they meet. Because of the Biblical foundation that our fraternity has, our women always strive to be a better version of themselves, and I will forever be grateful for their impact in my life.

We are thrilled to meet and get to know you this fall, but for now, enjoy this time at home with family and friends. Know that we are thinking of and praying for each one of you, and we cannot wait to help you find your “home away from home” here at Samford... and maybe even in Phi Mu!

Thinking all the best for you,

Bekah Summa
